Knowledgeable and very helpful tutor

Joyce helped me a lot. AP Calc BC was more difficult for me in comparison to AB because, somehow, I just wasn’t understanding the new topics. I’d do fine on my homework but as soon as the tests came, I wouldn’t do well. Joyce really helped me to understand the basics and remember good strategies on how to figure a problem out when I had no idea where to even start. We had a few lessons but I started to get better and better after each lesson. She would give me some extra packets to practice and was always available when I had a question, even when we didn’t have a scheduled session. I really liked how she would send me the things we went over so that I could go back and review them while I was studying. Again, thank you so much!

My son had a few precalc/calc sessions now with Joyce. She’s patient and clear in explanations when going over examples for derivatives and graphing. Memory tactics and simplifying problems were such valuable methods! She also provides and reviews supplemental resources. What a gem!

Best decision I ever made !!!

My daughter needed help in calculas 2 and I was desperate looking for help. Thank god I came across this website but most importantly is I chose the best tutor! Joyce is so patient and so helpful and has such a way of explaining things that has improved my daughters understanding is calculas. She explains things step by step and gives exercises and easier ways to solve a problem does memory exercises. She is amazing and she always explains everything she has taught my daughter in ever lesson . She is honest and very up front something I appreciate. Joyce is always willing to help even after tutoring .My daughter has her cell number so when she needs help with a problem or has questions on homework Joyce helps her . Joyce is an amazing tutor and she is always on top of things and is always so quick to respond to my questions and emails. I'm so thankful for her and my daughter is really learning and very comfortable with Joyce and loves her teaching style.She works around my daughters schedule and she is so understanding. I recommend her 100% . My daughter has tutoring twice a week and it's the best choice I ever made.

This was a tougher unit for my daughter and she left the session with a much deeper understanding than when she went into the session. Joyce has a way of explaining that just clicks! She’s been at a B all year and has pulled her grade up to an A with Joyce!!!!

Excellent tutor!

My daughter was struggling to understand her advanced alg2/precalc honors class and had a another tutor the first semester. Her grade was ok but I could tell she was not understanding the material because she hovered at a B. It wasn’t until she met Joyce in this 2nd semester (where she is helping with chem and math) that we finally feel like we have a great fit! Joyce asks the student a series of questions in order to ensure the student understands the material, deeply. joyce knows the material well. She explains things well, In language my daughter understands. She is also extremely patient, kind and as far as scheduling goes-very flexible and understanding of last min changes! (Which we are so grateful for with our ever changing, crazy schedules. ) My daughter enjoys her time with Joyce and looks actually looks forward to reviewing math and chem with her! Great Tutor!

My HS kiddo is in an IB Math course & right from the beginning, they were struggling with the work. After working with Joyce, my kiddo was able to break down the steps, patiently coach them through the process & through Joyce’s help my kiddo got an amazing grade at the end of the semester! Joyce came in and helped me in the last few weeks before Calculus 1a final. Her depth of knowlege is amazing. She explains things easily and knows when I don't understand. We did not have much time to prepare for the final and so she actually gave additional resources to help me practice in my weaker areas. She is very nice, easy to work with, flexible and I will continue to use her for next quarter. She should be teaching calculus.
