Rev. James Carney officiated at the service assisted by Rev. Clyde Clark. Visitation was held Tuesday, May 16 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. A native of Lawrence MS, he was a retired offshore crane operator and a member of the Woodlawn United Pentecostal Church in Columbia.

Survivors include his wife, Eria C. Morris Reid of Columbia; two daughters, Helen Roberts and her husband C.M. of Foxworth and Mary Terrell of McComb; one son, James Donald Reid and his wife Susan of Foxworth; one sister, Frances Dunaway, of Jayess, MS; three brothers, Webster Ray Reid and Dennis Reid both of Jayess and Joe Reid of Lebanon, MO; 12 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
