Born Blanca Pérez-Mora Macias on May 2, 1945, Bianca Jagger grew up in Managua, Nicaragua. Her father was an import-export businessman, whose success allowed her mother to stay at home with her and her two siblings.

When Bianca was 10 years old, her parents filed for divorce. Her mother got custody of her and her siblings, but it was difficult to make ends meet as a single mother in Nicaragua during that time.

At the age of 16, Bianca earned a full scholarship and enrolled in the Paris Institute of Political Studies. She grew increasingly interested in various political movements around the world, such as Mahatma Gandhi's nonviolent protests.

After a year of living on her own abroad (and still only just 16 years old), she legally changed her name from Blanca to Bianca.

Bianca met British actor Michael Caine while studying in Paris. The pair were introduced through their tailor. They dated for a few years, and she even moved with him to England, but Bianca told People magazine in 1977, "Caine was unkind, superficial and kept me like I was his geisha."

At the age of 20, Bianca left Caine for French record mogul Eddie Barclay. She and Barclay dated for a few years, but according to People, she didn't want to marry him, because he was divorced: "I think marriage is important, and for him it was just a game."

Bianca established herself as a model in the late '60s and early '70s, and had acting ambitions as well. Here, she dons a black-and-white dress with an elaborate feathered hat for a photo shoot.

When Bianca was 26 years old, she met Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger. The couple were introduced at an after-party for a Rolling Stones concert in France. "It was like a bolt of lightning," she recalled to People.

Bianca and Mick tied the knot on May 12, 1971, in an intimate Roman Catholic ceremony in St.-Tropez, France. The couple were famously flocked by paparazzi and fans outside of the church after word got out about the ceremony.

The model wore an elegant YSL smoking jacket and wide-brimmed, veiled hat for her wedding. The ensemble instantly became an iconic bridal look and established Bianca as a force in fashion.

The newlyweds set off for an Italian honeymoon after their nuptials. Bianca, who was four months pregnant at the time of their wedding, rides in a gondola with Mick in Venice. The couple also spent time aboard a yacht in Corsica and Sardinia.

In 1973, it was revealed that Bianca had an affair with actor Ryan O'Neal, while Mick was constantly surrounded by women and fangirls. "In the first years of our marriage, I played the wife. I was docile and subservient…but groupies weren't an easy thing to get used to," she told People in 1977. "I have had very few affairs. I could never have one without telling Mick," she said.

Mick and Bianca were known to rent Andy Warhol's $5,000-a-month cottage in Montauk, where they would socialize with the '70s glamour crowd and escape the hot New York summer.
